Phase three: Falklands Arrival and Carcass Island
After two nights and one full day at sea, we arrived at our first destination, the Falkland Islands, early in the morning. After a special early morning wakeup call, by our expedition leader, Troels, we first witnessed the passage of the MV plancius through a narrow sea strait before breakfast. Arrival at the Falklands was a spectacular sight, despite the slightly less than favorable weather conditions. In the morning, our first landing for the day was planned on Carcass Islands, one of the outer islands, known for its spectacular wildlife.
