Phase four: Westpoint Island & Sunset Sail

After a rather dark and gloomy start, our day had turned into a really beautiful sunny day by morning. Despite the beautiful summer sun, our planned excursion had to be cancelled, due to heavy winds at our intended landing site. Despite this apparent setback, we ended up having a great alternative. Westpoint island is home to an enormous colony of Black Browed Albatrosses and Magellenic Penquins. And indeed a beautiful sunny day it was! Due to the early morning weather, I had forgotten to apply sunscreen, and after being carried away by the beauty of all the wildlife, I only slowly began to realize that my forehead was beginning to suffer from a bad sunburn...
